AMX Infiniti USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 Cable Review

In terms of the USB cables, there are no humongous changes in the last couple of years in the aspect of interfaces, however, high data transfer speed and fast charging support are some latest demands from them.

Most of the digital devices running on the battery we buy online or offline will come with a USB cable for charging and data transfer. And no doubt the quality and compatibility which comes with the original one is a somewhat tough job to find in third party cables. For example, users who have Quick Charging supported devices they need the USB Cable that support the same; regular cables won’t help in fast charging.

Well, if we start searching online to buy a USB Type C or Micro USB cable, we will get hundreds of options in both low to high budget, it all depends upon the user what his device supports and what exactly the need is. So, in the context of the same, recently we got a USB cable from AMX Labs India to evaluate and experience the quality they are proving in the budget.

Yes, indeed the AMX Labs, is not some famous brand when it comes to Data Cables however, my opinion has been changed after using their products.

In the cable portfolio, they have three kinds of cables Infiniti Micro USB, Infiniti Type A to Type C and Infiniti Type C to Type C PD. The outer design of the cable and durability are the same in all, thus let me talk about the features of the Infiniti Type A to Type C that I am using currently and will let you know what I have experienced so far.

The price of the Infiniti USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 Cable on the official web page is INR 369.00 which is really affordable but the overall quality we are getting at this price is really value to every penny we are spending on it.

AMX Infiniti USB-C 3.1 Gen 1

  • Due to Q.C 3.0 Charging Technology support it can handle a maximum of 3 Amp current to charge devices 20% faster than regular USB cables.

Pros:

  • The first benefit which really a user wants is the low price and it is available at a very affordable price which is INR 369 only.
  • The second thing is the build quality. The Nylon braided wire with a high degree of isolation at both ends looks very premium and also gives long life to cable.
  • It is available in two lengths 1 meter and 2 meters. We were using the 2 Meter variant which was quite long and easily can be used to charge devices, I mean we can use it with sockets that are not in the range of regular or official USB cables come along with the devices.
  • Tested against 10,000 cycles of 90-degree bend to make sure safety from overheating.

Cons:

The only problem which I faced is the compatibility of this cable with some proprietary charger technologies such as Oppo’s VOOC or Oneplus’s Dash. For example, I have OnePlus smartphone with TYPE-C cable and if accidentally I lost my original USB cable then normal USB cables won’t support the phone’s fast charging feature because the official cable supports not only 4Amp but also transfers the heat from device to charger unit to make sure it should operate in the optimum temperature range.

However, that doesn’t mean we can’t charge Oneplus or its parent companies’ devices with AMX USB cable, it will work perfectly fine, the only thing we will not get is its fast charging feature.

Other than Oppo or OnePlus rest of all devices those are using Qualcomm Quick Fast charging technology can enjoy the fast charging without any doubt using AMX Infiniti USB cables.

Verdict:

At this affordable price no doubt, it will be the right choice to go for AMX Infiniti USB Type C cable, especially because of its long length and build quality.
