After successfully launching in the US, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has launched its flagship device — OnePlus5 — in India that comes with a massive 8GB of RAM and dual rear cameras.
OnePlus5 will come in two variants — 6GB RAM/64GB ROM and 8GB RAM/128GB ROM — and will be available for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively, exclusively on Amazon.in starting today. Speaking of aesthetics, OnePlus 5 is a clone to iPhone 7 Plus with the Home button in the front. The fingerprint sensor has also been moved to the front of the device.
According to the OnePlus, it is the slimmest flagship smartphone. The device has a 5.5-inch full-HD optic AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 835 processor with a clock speed of 2.45GHz. The smartphone comes in two variants — 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
For photographers, OnePlus5 has a dual camera setup on the rear – a main 16MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP camera with f/1.6 aperture. It packs 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture at the front.
OnePlus 5 runs on custom Oxygen OS on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The company has added a new “Reading Mode” feature that changes the color temperature according to ambient lighting. Oxygen OS also comes with “refined design language” and several bug fixes to improve the user experience, the company said.
OnePlus 5 houses 3,300mAh, which is nearly 100mAh smaller than OnePlus 3T.
