To combat the 2020 Virus and malware problems, the Russian antivirus company Kaspersky lately come up with its new Cloud security solution.

The new Kaspersky Security solution is the further development of Kaspersky Free Antivirus which is now available as Security Cloud Free version 2020.

It is available in three versions- Free, Personal and Family; all with different level of security features.

However, if you just want basic security with extensive protection against malware, viruses, worms, Trojans, ransomware and other hidden dangers, the free version of Security Cloud gives all. But for extensive security features such as VPN (not works for Belarus, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Oman, Pakistan and Qatar), Password Management, Adaptive security, Wifi monitoring, Clean and optimize, Account check and more than the Personal and Family Cloud variants are options to opt-in Kaspersky Security Cloud. Though the Family Sharing and Kids protection features are only available for Family variant of the solution. Thus, the big difference to the old Kaspersky Free Antivirus and this cloud one are these extra security tools that have nothing to do with direct threats from malware.

As per the developers, the Kaspersky Security Cloud Free is a multi-platform security solution with advanced functions, thus not only available for Windows, but is also offered by Kaspersky for the Mac, for iOS and Android.

For personal and Family protection plans the user has to pay $89 and $149, respectively per year. The personal subscription is valid for three or five devices for twelve months and can add additional devices or for a longer period with a price advantage. The personal cloud security plan comes with 1 user account while the family one can add 20 users to Kaspersky central security management. You definitely need a My Kaspersky account, which is free.
