Google Chrome add-ons really make it easy to enhance the abilities of your Chrome browser and eventually increase productivity. The size of the Chome Web Store is expanding day by with more useful apps, add-ons, and games from several developers worldwide. Chrome apps and add-ons are presently supported by the Google Chrome browser for computers, however, some mobile browsers like the Kiwi browser, which is based on Chromium, also has support for add-ons. But, fundamentally, Chrome add-ons and apps are meant for computers, and they deliver the optimum performance when they are used in Chrome or Chromium web browser for PC.

However, from time to time, we come across articles and links, where we can find some interesting and useful Chrome apps and add-ons, which we want to add. But unfortunately, we don’t have a computer with us at that point in time and thus, we postpone the installation of that particular app or add-on later on, when we turn on our computer. But in most cases, we forget to do that for numerous reasons. However, there is a simple way, you can add add-ons and apps on your Chrome browser right from your Android device. What you just need is Google Chrome installed on your Android device, which you might already have, and you should be signed in with the same Google account for sync on both your Android device and your computer.

So without any further delay, let’s get started with how you can add-ons and apps to your Chrome web browser or PC right from your Android.

How to add Chrome apps and add-ons from Android phone

Step 1: Open the link associated with the app or add-on, that you come across and you will be automatically taken to the Web Store, where you can find the option that says ‘Add to Desktop’.

Alternatively, you can even open the Chrome Web Store to search for the app or add-on that you want to install and simply tap on ‘Add to Desktop’.

Step 2: Here, I am adding the ‘StayFocussed’ Chrome web app. You can even proceed with a different app if you want.

Step 3: Now, you will get a message saying, the chosen add-on will be installed on all the computers, where the Chrome web browser is installed and is logged in with the same Google account. Simply tap on ‘Add to Desktop’ once again.

Step 4: You will get a message saying ‘Added to Desktop’ instead of ‘Add to Desktop’. That is self-explanatory. Everything is ready and you just need to turn on your computer and open Chrome web browser.

Step 5: On doing that, you will find notification saying, the chosen add-ons were remotely installed on your Chrome web browser. Simply click on ‘Enable extension’.

remotely install Chrome addons ov PC

You can start using the Chrome web app now on your computer. This feature can be really handy if you come across multiple Chrome web apps and addons, but eventually, forget to add them to your browser. But, with the ability to add the web apps right from a mobile, you will never again forget to add your favourite Chrome add-ons or web apps to your browser.

However, I didn’t find any option to remotely uninstall or remove a Chrome web app with the help of your mobile. Actually, the ability to uninstall or remove a Chrome web app remotely is not as useful or essential as the ability to remotely install a Chrome web app. With the help of this trick, you can add any Chrome web to your Chrome web browser on your computer.

So, that was all about how you can add Chrome web apps and addons to your computer right from your mobile. Did you face any trouble with this? Feel free to comment on the same window.
