At the end of the first month of 2019, the Meizu, Chinese smartphone manufacturer has announced Meizu zero. As per the company with over 15 years R&D experience they have finally given the world’s first holeless mobile phone.
Now, what actually is this holeless smartphone term means? Is it something new or just another gimmick touting by smartphone companies.
Yes, this is actually something new which haven’t done before. The zero holes mean, the whole phone is extremely sealed or the inner parts of the phone are clandestine in such a way that completely eliminates the opening of and the slot of the phone. It means no sim cards slot, no speaker holes, no earpiece speaker vents, no charging port, in short, an extremely concealed premium smartphone.
For this purpose, Unibody integrated ceramic body, mSound 2.0 screen sound technology, virtual side pressure button, mEngine 2.0 are applied. Linear motors for tactic feedback, eSIM virtual cards, and air card plus it also the first to implement screen fingerprints on 5.99-inch AMOLED screen, as well as the independently developed 18W wireless super fast charging technology.
As said, the Meizu Zero adopts ONE PIECE Unibody uses a ceramic with 2.5D glass panel, no hole, no physical button design, bright porcelain black, kiln white colour, support IP68 dustproof and waterproof that allow to soaked the phone under water for 30 minute.
mSound 2.0 screen sound technology solves the contradiction between sound and opening vents. It helps to remove the need of open vents to pass the sound waves. It uses a sound conduction unit that closely attached to the screen. It means the whole screen can sound, and the face can hear that too. The reasonable internal layout and high-quality audio materials make the sounding unit look brand new. This also has removed the last year trending ‘Notches’ need.
In order to eliminate physical buttons, Meizu zero comes with ‘Virtual Side Button’ pressure sensitive, uses capacitor positioning technology, identifies the finger pressure to turn on/off the phone and controls the volume. Another unique thing is Meizu mEngine 2.0 linear haptic gives the feeling and tactile feedback of a physical button.
In addition, eSIM virtual card allows the mobile phone to get rid of the physical card slot, and can also freely switch the carrier network to support more standards and frequency bands. Flyme 7 also incorporates an adaptive UI that makes it easy to answer calls whenever the phone is upside down.
The mobile phone adopts 5.99-inch AMOLED ultra-clear comprehensive screen and equipped with a 20-megapixel face recognition front camera, and the rear continues the Meizu 16th Sony IMX380 12 million pixels, IM350 A 20-megapixel dual-camera combination with the One Mind AI Smart 2 engine.
The internal configuration adopts Snapdragon 845 processor, LPDDR4X processor, and self-developed 18W wireless super fast charging technology. It is known as 2 years of research and development, with 75 patented technologies, and claim of the Meizu that phone’s power is increased by 2 times, heat is reduced by 67 %; and exclusive Charging base, also supports USB 3.0, Bluetooth 5.0.
