Panasonic Lumix G7 and Lumix G85: New 4K DSLRs for Amateurs

To extend the 4K revolution, the Pansonic has launched two new DSLR camera with amazing capabilities those allow the Youtubers, Still-photographers and upcoming filmmakers to change the experience of photography. The two camera falls under the Lumix series– Lumix G7 and G85 both are Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) cameras.

The price of the Lumix G85 is INR 72,990 and the Lumix G7 will be available at INR 53,990. The Lumix G7 also comes with the dual kit option of 1442 mm + 45150 mm at INR 58,990. Due to the Mirrorless, both models also impact on the size as compared to DSLR cameras available in the price range.

Lumix DMC- G85KGW-K

The Lumix G85 comes with Dual Image stabilization which allows you to focus & caught proper shot even in the shaky movements. The design of the camera is rugged and also splash and dustproof.

The great feature which I admire personally in it is the Focus Stacking ability that enables the user to adjust the depth of field in a photograph after shooting. It accomplishes by combining multiple images which later can be used to adjust DOF using the camera’s Post Focus function.

The weight of the Lumix DMC is 435 gms (only body). Panasonic’s Lumix G85 has a monitor of 3.0 inches screen and uses a free angle so that a person can have a view from different angles. It is a touch control monitor that has approximately 1040k dots per inch.

The LUMIX G85 also features the new 5-axis Dual I.S.(Image Stabilizer). The maximum 150 frames in five seconds can be saved by it.

Furthermore, you can also save the photo from the 4K videos within the camera. Lumix DMC- G7KGW-K

The Lumix G7 can be the best option for those are only looking a Mirrorless camera for Youtube videos. The weight of the Lumix G7 is 360 gms, only body. It also capable of shooting the high-resolution QFHD 4K video in 3840×2160 at 25p (50Hz) or 24p in MP4.

Like the G85, it also a 16 Megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor camera with quad-core CPU and Venus Engine image processor that allow 8 fps(AFS) / 6 fps(AFC) to capture fast moving subject just in-focus.

The maximum ISO level it supports ISO25600 and has a 3-inch free-angle rear touchscreen monitor with 1040K-dot high resolution features approx.100% field of view. If you are Youtubers and amateur filmmakers and videographers you could consider it to be an option before buying a new camera.

To further enhance the controllability, the Lumix G7 newly comes with a drive mode dial in addition to the front/rear dials for the first time among all LUMIX G cameras.
