Zeotap announced that it has been recertified for ISO/IEC 27001

Zeotap, mobile data platform after meeting the stringent prerequisites for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually enhancing an information security management system (ISMS) as set forward by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), has announced that it has been recertified for ISO/IEC 27001.  Zeotap decided on this recertification to keep on assuring customers and accomplices that they can direct their business with the organization under the total affirmation of world-driving information security and protection controls.

Moreover, Zeotap embraced an extra rigorous security evaluation for the aspects of its business that make utilization of cloud services and was awarded the STAR Silver (second most elevated amount) by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) a free, non-benefit confirmation body. The CSA certification is just allowed on the precondition of an effective ISO confirmation and can be viewed as a supplemental layer of security.

Both certifications entail a meticulous audit in which not only technological safeguards and monitoring are assessed, but also the security of office premises, communication safeguards, quality of leadership and management and the degree to which employees are educated on the topic. zeotap was ISO-recertified in May 2018 and CSA-certified in April 2018. The process was administered by BSI. You can view the ISO certification here and CSA here.

On receiving these prestigious certifications, Projjol Banerjea, Co-founder & CPO and IAPP CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist by the International Association of Privacy Professionals) at Zeotap said, “We are proud to not only maintain our ISO/IEC 27001 certification but also earn the STAR Silver credentials from CSA. At zeotap, we adhere to a privacy and security-first approach. In fact, zeotap is one of few companies in our industry to achieve this level of accreditation.”

“We frequently receive queries on our privacy and security controls from business partners, especially larger enterprise clients from industries such as telecoms. These globally-recognised certifications establish credibility and convey our commitment to ensuring our systems are second to none,” he added.

“One of the biggest benefits of the ISO/IEC 27001 certification is that it focuses on the maintenance of an information management solution that influences all areas of an organization. While establishing partnerships with several institutions across Europe, US, Canada and India, zeotap has found this to be a unique competitive advantage.”

In India, zeotap counts more than 200 million data profiles from relationships with three of the five largest telecom operators in the country. The company’s marquee clients include the major media agencies and more than 40 of the top 100 global brands.
