According to various posts on the Official Fortnite community, the launch of the season and the Doomsday event have been delayed indefinitely. The official sources announced previously that the launch would be delayed till 30th May to 2nd June 2020. But now that also seems to be unfeasible. Though Epic Games have stated an official statement on this and they assured Season 3 of Chapter 2 would launch on 11th June 2020, but according to the situation of the pandemic around the world this date can be extended even more.

Though the late launch of Season 3 will prove to be a blessing for those players who struggles to reach tier 100 within the stipulated time. Due to that, they are not able to unlock all the rewards even after they bought the Battle Pass. But, due to the late launch, they now have an ample quantity of time so that they can unlock all the rewards in the game, especially the “Golden Peely Skin”. Also with the update, the season compilation percentage has changed to 88% from 91%, so the date of 11th June seems feasible. The launch of the Live Event of Doomsday has also been pushed forward but the date is not confirmed yet, however you can expect the Live Event to take place 72 hours before the new season launch, just like the past seasons.
