Is OnePlus Planning To Launch Its Next Smartwatch In 2024?

We all are well aware that back in 2021, OnePlus launched its initial smartwatch product, but it turned out to be a bit of a disastrous rollout. However, the company has not given up yet and might soon launch another smartwatch in the coming year.

Max Jambor recently shared information on a social media platform, hinting at OnePlus potentially launching a sequel to their smartwatch in 2024. In his post, he suggests that this new smartwatch from OnePlus is expected to have a circular display.

According to several reports doing rounds on social media, the round smartwatch in question will come with a display boasting a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. It is also rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, complemented by a BES 2700 co-processor designed to manage energy-efficient tasks.

Furthermore, this device is anticipated to offer a range of functionalities, including ECG monitoring, an Always On Display feature, gesture recognition for fist clenching, eSIM support, blood oxygen level measurement, stress monitoring, sleep analysis, and workout tracking.

If we talk about the original OnePlus smartwatch, it functioned more as an enhanced fitness tracker, offering impressive battery life and providing reasonable health data. However, its software left much to be desired, characterized by limited features and a noticeable lack of attention to detail.

OnePlus did try to fix major issues over time, however, with time it faded away and was discontinued. So now just let’s wait and see what the company will bring with its new offerings.
