Nubia launches Red Magic 5G gaming smartphone with fan & 16 GB RAM

Nubia, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer lately has announced its new gaming smartphone Red Magic 5G with some boosted features such as built-in fan and 16 GB RAM.

The company tried to be an innovative one with Red Magic 5G since the device is not only available with some extremely high-end features but also in terms of design, the Nubia Red Magic 5G is optionally available with a transparent or two-tone housing.

To display games and pictures, the smartphone packed with a 6.65-inch AMOLED display that features 2340×1080 pixels resolution with top-notch 144 Hertz refreshing rate, best for playing high-end games without missing a speck.

In terms of core configuration, the Nubia Red Magic 5G armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Octacore SoC with eight cores up to 2.84 GHz. As we are talking about gaming device, thus RAM is an important subject where Nubia didn’t make itself parsimonious; the smartphone standard version comes with 8GB of LPDDR5-RAM on board, but the consumer can also order a version with an additional 12 GB or even 16 GB of RAM. The internal flash memory uses a fast UFS 3.0 connection and, depending on the variant, is 128 or 256 gigabytes in size.

In order to dissipate all the heat generated by the CPU and other core components, the Red Magic installed with an active fan which works at up to 15,000 rpm.

If we talk about the camera setup on the Nubia’s Red Magic 5G, the IMX686 sensor from the Sony of 64 megapixels and an F / 1.8 aperture in combination with an ultra-wide-angle camera with eight and a depth sensor two megapixels have been used. The front camera also offers moderate technical basics with eight megapixels.

To power, this 5G smartphone, 4500mAh has been used which is another USP that can be charged in a very short time with the power supply of 55 watts charger supplied along with the phone.

Furthermore, the Nubia Red Magic 5G includes the two touch controls at the ends of one of the two sides of the case, with which the user can control games. The case of the smartphone is also interesting as it has an LED strip on the back. Apart from optional blue / red design, transparent cover glass on the back has also been announced for China.

 

The Red Magic 5G will initially be sold in China from March 19, 2020.

Here is the expected price range for RED MAGIC 5G:

• 8/128GB version will go for CNY3,799 ($540)
• 12/128GB variant for CNY4,099 ($585)
• 12/256GB model for CNY4,399 ($625)
• Top model 16GB RAM and 256GB storage version for CNY4,999 ($712).
• Transparent Edition will cost around CNY 4,599 ($655) in its 12/256 GB trim while the 16/256GB model will CNY 5,199 ($740).
