Pioneer Dj, the lifestyle audio brand, today announced the latest addition to their series of musical instruments and production equipment portfolio – Toraiz Squid (starting from Rs. 51,150), DDJ-800 (starting from Rs.79,990) and DDJ -200 (starting from Rs.14000)) at Palm Expo 2019 Mumbai. The inspiration tools will be the heartbeat of a studio and live setups.
One of the Pioneer DJ’s latest offerings is the Toraiz SQUID Production Sequencer, a 16-track sequencer with an impressive array of functionality. Generally speaking, there is a limited range of options for sequencers that allow quick and intuitive performance and creation. The ToraizSquid fills that gap. The SQUID —SeQUencer Inspirational Device — is designed for a larger electronic music rig and offers control over 16 instruments via USB and MIDI terminals, two CV/Gate outputs for modular components, and even clock and DIN sync for vintage drum gear.
ToraizSquid is also the third product in Pioneer’s Toraiz series, following up on the SP-16 Sampler and Sequencer and the AS-1 monosynth. Perfect for on-the-fly music production, the layout and controls are effortless to navigate so your ideas. This production tool enables to randomize sounds, sequences, and drums – all in key.
Second product launched was DDJ 200, a ‘smart’ beginner’s DJ controller that lets you mix with Beatport, Spotify and other streaming services. Lightweight and compact DDJ -200 works with SoundCloud Go+ and Beatport’s new LINK service. It is an affordable, entry-level device made for playing streaming music directly from a smartphone. The instrument play tracks via smartphone or PC/Mac using a variety of DJ apps and software including, free app WeDJ for iPhone, as well as djay and edjing Mix.
Pioneer’s third offering is DDJ-800 — a new compact 2-channel DJ performance controller designed to help you get the most from the new features coming to the software. It is the latest in a series of Rekordbox DJ controllers that all are total refreshes of the line from the DDJ-S/R families.
This portable unit inherits the club-style layout and popular features of the DDJ-1000, including Color On Jog Displays, and packs it all into a lighter body. The result is a professional performance controller that will have no trouble transporting between gigs at weddings, parties and anywhere else you play.

Pioneer DJ Pro Sessions were also organised where Official DJs – Mash, Skip and Tuhin Skip gave the master classes. The master class included a session of mixing of songs, making electronic music, blend of diverse sounds and track matching beats, or scratching over songs, etc. It also gave an opportunity to people to learn creative ways to use Rekordbox (all Plus Packs), Toraiz Squid, Toraiz SP-16, Toraiz AS-1 along with an opportunity to interact with the fellow DJs of their local community. The session also included learning of DJ Consol and tips to the beginner and briefing on the newly launched product i.e Toraiz Squid, DDJ-800 and DDJ -200.
