ASUS Unveils Zenfone5, Zenfone5Z, Zenfone5 Lite & Zenfone5 Max (M1) at MWC 2018

In the race of bezel-less screens, the Asus is not behind, at the Barcelona Spain MWC 2018 the Asus reveals not one or 2 but total 4 smartphones with different features and price range.  All these Asus phones fall under the Zenfone 5 series except one and here are the names: Zenfone5, Zenfone5Z, Zenfone5 Lite and  Zenfone5 Max (M1), all these smartphones are between high to Mid range segment. Let’s have a glimpse of their features and design.

 

Asus Zenfone 5z ZS620KL Smartphone Specifications

The new  ZenFone 5Z is a high-end smartphone that can give competition to no. of premium devices such as One plus 5T, Samsung S9, and more. The front and rear look of the phone is totally like iPhone X and it seems like the Asus wants to give something like iPhone X at low cost. To harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) it is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform including a full suite of AI-enhanced features powered by the Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE). The AI platform includes the Hexagon 685 Vector DSP, Adreno 630 Graphics, and Kryo 385 architecture CPU.

ZenFone 5Z has a 3300mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast-charge technology. It supports dual 4G LTE SIMs with Dual VoLTE (DSDV) capabilities.

ZenFone 5Z uses Sony IMX363 image sensor with large 1.4µm pixels and a bright f/1.8 wide-aperture. It can record video in 4K UHD resolution, with smooth and steady videos assured by three-axis electronic image stabilization (EIS).

ZeniMoji is a fun new ZenFone 5 feature — exclusive to ASUS — that lets users animate cute avatars using their own voice, facial expressions and head movements. Uniquely, ZeniMoji avatars can be used in video chats or live-streaming, as well as in text chats, to make them more entertaining.

Asus Zenfone 5 ZE620KL Smartphone Specifications

The all new Asus Zenfone4 features a 90% body to ration display just like iPhone X. the size of the display is 6.5 inches which fit in as 5.5-inch phones body. To increase the overall beauty of the phone it also has 2.5D curved glass

The screen also supports the DCI-P3 color space, with a wide color gamut that enhances color saturation. Further, it has smart sensors to automatically adjust the display’s color temperature in real time according to the ambient lighting. It also features Smart Screen ON  mode that not let the display off when a person looking at the screen.

The dual camera configuration of the Zenfone 5 again resembles the iPhone X camera housing design. The dual camera the Sony IMX363 image sensor with large 1.4µm pixels and a f/1.8 wide-aperture. It consists six-element lens. The Dual camera uses 12MP setup along phase detection autofocus, gyro EIS, and dual-LED (dual tone) flash on the rear side.  ZenFone 5 can record 4K UHD resolution videos backed by three-axis electronic image stabilization (EIS) to reduce the jerky movements.  Key mode of the camera: AI Scene Detection, Real-time Portrait, and Pro mode

Let’s have look at the hardware inside the Zenfone Z5, it uses latest mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform that supports the AI-enhanced features powered by the Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE).

For multitasking ZenFone 5 comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM. To fuel the ZenFone 5 the company packed it with 3300mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast-charge technology.  Launched in two color options Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver.

ZenFone 5 Lite is not like the Zenfone 5 & 5Z  bezel-less design but still, it features 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display in traditions 5-inch device.  The USP of this phone is the Quad camera configuration; Dual 16 MP camera on the back side with f/2.2, 26 mm, gyro EIS, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash while on the front side you will get the dual 20MP selfie camera along EIS and LED flash.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform.  ZenFone 5 Lite packed with 3300mAh battery that according to the company can give users up to 24 days of 4G standby time, 30 hours of 3G talk time, or 4 days of music playback usage.

ZenFone 5 Lite has a triple-slot tray with two SIM slots — supporting speeds up to 400Mbps — plus a microSD slot for expanding storage up to 2TB.

Asus Zenfone Max (M1) ZB555KL Specifications

ZenFone Max (M1) is the latest addition to the pre-existing series of Asus ZenFone Max. ZenFone Max has a 5.5-inch display in a compact body. The major USP of the Max series is the battery capacity and so of Zenfone Max (M1). It features basic features a person needs in a smartphone such as a big battery, dual rear cameras, and good display.

The display resolution of phone  HD+ (720 x 1440) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D-curved front edges. It’s available in three gorgeous colors to match the user’s style: Deepsea Black, Sunlight Gold, and Ruby Red.
