Comparison Between Yu Yunicorn vs Moto G4 Plus vs Zuk Z1 Smartphones

It is an undeniable fact that the Indian smartphone manufacturers are focusing on the budget-centric devices. Be it newly-launched YU Yunicorn from Micromax’s sister brand Yu or the next generation of our favourite budget smartphone Moto G4 Plus or the latest from Lenovo’s sub-brand Zuk Z1. But which is the best of them all? Let’s take a closer look.

Design 

On the design front, Yu Yunicorn and Zuk Z1 feature a metal unibody design while the Moto G4 Plus comes with a mix of metal and plastic. It is safe to say that the Moto G4 Plus is the lightest and slimmest among the three as it is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 155g whereas Yu Yunicorn (8.5mm thick and weighs 172g) and Zuk Z1 (8.9mm thick and weighs 175g) are bulkier. And also, all the three smartphones comes with fingerprint sensors.

Display 

On the display department, all the three smartphones features a 5.5-inch full-HD display. Yu Yunicorn comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 while the Moto G4 Plus features a water repellent coating for protection and Zuk Z1 comes with a rare feature of changing the display colour according to the environment further intensify the battle between the three contenders.

Software 

Moto G4 Plus comes with latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a more stock Android look, while, with the launch of Yunicorn, YU has come out with its own version of Android known as Android on Steroids. On the other hand, Zuk Z1 runs on Cyanogen OS v12.1. Again it all boils down on the consumer preference as all three OS has many things to offer.

Performance 
On the hardware front, Zuk Z1 comes with an old but impressive Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, while the Yu Yunicorn features a MediaTek Helio P10 and Moto G4 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. While G4 Plus and Z1 is backed by a 3GB RAM but Yu Yunicorn has a slight edge with a 4GB of RAM. On the other hand, Zuk Z1 has an edge over the other two as it comes with a massive 64GB of internal storage while the other features just 32GB.

Battery
In terms of battery, both Yu Yunicorn and Zuk Z1 faces a stiff competition as the former features 4,000mAh while the latter comes with a 4,100mAh battery. On the other hand, Moto G4 Plus comes with a smaller 3,000mAh battery.

Camera 
On the camera front, Zuk Z1 and Yu Yunicorn features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, while the Moto G4 Plus sports a 16-megpixel rear shooter. On the front, the Yunicorn and G4 Plus features a 5-megapixel camera while the Z1 has a slight edge with 8-megapixel front shooter. And also it is must be noted that the Zuk Z1 is the first phone in this price range with optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Conclusion

Zuk Z1 and Yu Yunicorn comes with a price tag of Rs 13,499 and 3GB RAM and 32GB storage of Motorola Moto G4 Plus priced at Rs 14,999, all three smartphones sports with an impressive specs sheet and can be considered as one of the best phones available in this price segments.
