Samsung Galaxy S9 Leaks Shows, it May Sweeps 2018 Flagship Smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is about to launch but its specs and color variants have been leaked to the press. In the US market, the Samsung is going to sell the Galaxy S9 under the Snapdragon 845 smartphone runs at 2.6 GHz while rest of the market will get the Exynos 9810 ( clocked at 2.9 GHz) powered device. Both the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will have octa-core CPU.

Like Samsung Galaxy S8, the Galaxy S9 also has the Infinity Display on the front side while if you see in the leaked image given below; the camera and fingerprint sensor are placed vertically in a protruding single metal piece. However, the Galaxy S9 has a signle camera while its Big B Galaxy S9+ going to feature Dual camera configuration.

While talking about the camera lets take a bit dive into its core configuration. The Samsung Galaxy S9 uses the 12MP camera with a variable aperture that goes from f/1.5 to f/2.4. However, this is not something new because already in China, last year, the Samsung has showcased the same variable aperture configuration in Samsung W2018 flip phone.

If we go through leaked press configuration of the Galaxy S9+, it also has the same sensor in a dual setup where both cameras are 12MP.

 

 

Leaks also revealed that the Galaxy S9 features a 5.8” AMOLED display with 2960 x 1440 resolution; whereas the Galaxy S9+ panel will be 6.2”.

 

Talking about Ram and internal storage options; the Samsung Galaxy S9 will come with two variants one possess the 4Gb RAM and other will have the 6GB.  The internal memory in both the variants will remain same which is 64 gigs. This internal storage might sound low because right now most of the flagship devices like Oneplus 5t offers 128Gb model too. However, this problem was taken care by the Samsung by offering hybrid microSD slot that could support the expansion of the internal memory up o 400 GB.  Again two SIM users may feel annoying.

For connectivity, it offers USB Type C, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC,  Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct,  hotspot, Samsung DeX (desktop experience support), and Qi wireless charging. The interesting part is that where other players increasing their battery capacity, the Samsung sticks to 3,000 mAh/3,500 mAh batteries in its flagships smartphone. And the best thing is despite having a large screen, the Samsung flagship like Galaxy S8 last longer due to the improved power efficiency of the new chipsets.
