Every now and then it’s nice to just unwind and get in for some quick gameplay. Don’t worry, if you’re at school or work we won’t tell you not to do that, but this is exactly where you need to be as we’ve picked out three of our favorite games that you can play for five minutes or five hours. Take Drag Racer V3, for example. You can play this game long-term and build up your garage or just do a couple of quick races while your co-workers are on a cigarette break. Or you can check out the other two choices, both of which are just as flexible. More importantly, however, Kids or Adult both will definitely have fun with these best online games mentioned here in the article and that’s what really matters, right? We’ve listed the top three car, motorcycle, and truck games for your pleasure down below. Enjoy!
Free Best online games to Play
Micro Racers 2
Micro Racers 2 is one of those simple but fun games that can become addicting fast for no real reason. It has an old-school arcade feel to it with the top-down camera angle and 8-bit-like graphics. Pick from a handful of cars and race a few laps around a small track. If you win the race, you advance to the next round. Unlike the Drag Racer V3 mentioned above, this game doesn’t have a save feature but it’s a blast if you’ve got a half hour to kill and want to get in some arcade-style racing.
The heist is a simple, top-down video game that puts you in the driver’s seat of a getaway van. All you have to do is zip through traffic Fast and Furious style trying to avoid collisions with other vehicles while you get to the finish line in the time allotted. Sounds simple enough, but if you hit other cars, you lose some money. Wreck some police cars, though, and you’ll learn a little extra. This is one of those fun little games that so simple its stupid, but it really gets under your skin. Be careful, next thing you know it’ll be 3:00 am.
Drag Racer V3
If you’re into drag racing and tuning, this is one browser game that you want to check out. You can choose from a number of cars, including popular tuning models like the Honda Civic or Nissan 240SX, or high-end cars like the Lamborghini Murcielago or the Ferrari F50 to new a couple (there are serious 50+.) If you’ve only got a few minutes to spare, you can check out the arcade mode. But, if you really want to have fun, you can check out Tuner Mode where you launch a career and build your car from the ground up. You can participate in the race after race for fun, money, or even your pink slip. As you level up you’ll gain access to engine upgrades and the like giving you the opportunity to build your car from a stock beater to a full-fledged race car. You can save your progress and come back to play later, picking up exactly where you left off with all the same cars in your garage. You can even download the game and play online against other people.
If you’re into physics-based games or have been a fan of the Trials game series then you’ll fall in love with this online game. Set in a side-scroll atmosphere, you’re responsible for controlling your dirt bike over various obstacles – much like in Excite Bike from the original Nintendo with way better graphics. Neither the graphics or physics engine is as good as those from the console-based Trials series, but this is certainly a fun game to spend a little time with. There are 30 levels of play and a level editor too, so the fun never really stops.
Turbo Spirit XT
If you’re into motorcycle racing and miss the days of walking into an arcade, sitting on a cheap plastic bike, and staring endlessly into a big, tube television, then boy do we have a game for you. It’s called Turbo Spirit XT and it will take you back. It’s got those 16-bit graphics similar to the Sega Genesis and offers up a huge number of different races and difficulty levels.. Controls are simple, and you get to choose between controlling the bike with your keyboard or mouse. You can get sucked into this thing for hours but make sure you write down your codes so you can pick up where you left off last time.
Highway Rider Extreme
Highway Rider Extreme is one of those classic games that are so simple it’s ridiculous yet you will quickly find yourself wondering how you wasted so much time online…again. The plot and gameplay are simple. Once you click play, you’ll find yourself cruising along the highway on a kinda-slow bike. Your mission is to get to the goal before time runs out while collecting coins and dodging cars in the process. Be careful, though, as there are checkpoints and if you don’t get to each one in time, the game is over.
HEAVY Tow Truck
There’s nothing worse than coming out in the morning to find that your car has been repossessed (ok, well you should probably pay the bill, but still.) If you talk to any tow truck driver, you’ll find they never really seem that displeased with their work and to be honest, playing the role of a tow truck driver in this game isn’t exactly a letdown. There are at least 12 levels of fun and all you have to do is drive your tow truck to the offending vehicle, back up to it, and deliver it to the impound yard. Once you’re done, go park your truck to move to the next level. You receive a score and awards based on your performance and there is a time limit, so don’t be fooling around. Oh, and if you smash your truck or the car you’re towing, game over. It’s not a game that will consume your life, but you’ll certainly want to revisit it every now and then.
School Bus License 3 -Simulator Game
Okay, this isn’t technically a truck game, but it fits within the same realm of needing a commercial driver’s license to get behind the wheel. In this case, you’re learning how to drive a bus – all of the way from simple maneuvers to collecting kids and dropping them off at school. The thing is, though, you’ll kind of feel like you really are learning how to drive as the steering can be a bit of a challenger. It might even piss you off a little, but that’s really part of the fun and why we spent hours playing it trying to get through the levels. It’s oddly addictive for a short period of time, so hop on in the driver’s seat and see if you’ve got the skills. Oh, and by the way, that instructor is mean and notoriously anal – be careful not to come even close to the lines.
Jeep City Parking
What is disguised as a simple parking game is actually a challenging ball of fun that’s hard to walk away from. Each level starts out with you driving your jeep to your small trailer, then proceeding to move it to another parking spot before pulling away and taking it off screen to advance to the next level. Simplistic in nature, it’s actually surprising how well the trailer responds to steering input and how impatient some of the “other drivers” in the game can be. We never got a chance to completely finish the game but it should keep you busy for at least a few hours. The graphics aren’t that bad, either, so it’s got that going for it.
