In a recent quick email interaction with Mr. Filip Cotfas, Head India, CoSoSys, we got to know about the company’s current strategies and upcoming plans to accelerate its growth in India.

  1. Brief us on your products in India and what’s in the pipeline?

Our best selling and the award-winning product is Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys. It’s an advanced cross-platform DLP solution for physical and virtual environments that puts an end to unintentional data leaks, protects from malicious data theft, and offers seamless control of portable storage devices. Depending on their needs, organizations can choose from our product’s modules, Device Control, Content-Aware Protection, Enforced Encryption, and eDiscovery.

  1. How do you plan to accelerate your presence in India?

Our plan in India is to add more channel partners and help more of our customers. We are always keeping India in mind when we are developing our product roadmap and the feedback we receive from our Indian customer is very valuable and helps us shape our product. Regarding the Channel, we are working on providing better support, more training, to make sure our partners are always up to date with the latest changes and can deliver the best experience to their customers.

  1. Why are DLP Solutions important, when working remotely?

Recently, the Work From Home (WFH) policy demand increased, and visible rise in DLP awareness in India can be noticed. The crisis has taught organizations the importance of data loss prevention solutions, and how its right adoption can help seamless functioning in any given situation.

With WFH policy, businesses have never been more at risk of data breaches than today. With a Data Loss Prevention solution in place, companies can monitor and control the transfer, and use of personal information remotely, ensuring that it is not sent outside the company or uploaded to unauthorized third party services.

Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys has several modules that help in safeguarding sensitive data from loss, leakage, and theft. With the Content-Aware Protection module, organizations can filter what data can or cannot leave their network and offers an advanced method of inspecting confidential data based on both content and context. It protects data in motion ranging from the file type, through predefined and custom content filtering to different regulations such as the GDPR or the Personal Data Protection Bill of 2019.

  1. Given the current scenario, any security recommendations for enterprises?

We encourage all enterprises to be up to date, implement security best practices and tools to protect data. Working remotely for organizations with no solid remote work plans in place will mean that data will become more vulnerable. Tools like Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions applied at the endpoint level can support remote compliance through their focus on special categories of data protected by data-protection legislation.

  1. Which sectors have your strongest focus in India and Why?

Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys can be used by any industry. We plan to focus on several industries, such as the BFSI segment, IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Pharma, where the adoption of the right technology is requested.

  1. Is there any effect of COVID on CoSoSys’s working and business? If yes, then what are your strategies to overcome that?

In spite of the complex scenario, we are proud to say that our team has adapted really fast to the new situation and works as efficiently as before. Without face to face meetings, we try to compensate using the other tools available, to make sure we continue to help our customers throughout this unprecedented period of time and have regular virtual meetings with our partners and clients.
