Adata Technology launches SD700 portable SSD (dust-water-shock resistant)

ADATA recently released its new external SSD SD700 in India. It is a rugged device that comes with an enhanced technology for outdoors enthusiasts. The SD700 SSD is portable and can externally be used with different devices such as laptops, Desktops, smartphones, and notebooks. The Amazon price of SD700 256GB is ₹ 7,999.

The ADATA SD700 possesses the IP68 certificate that means it is dust and waterproof. It can easily survive at the depth of 1.5m in water for 6o minutes. The technology used to store the data is 3D NAND Flash or stacked TLC Flash which is better as compared to 2D NAND SSDs. To provide a shockproof design the company has covered the SSD in a military-grade shockproof shell.

If you talk about the speed then as the company said, it runs on USB 3.1 Gen1 and can achieve the 440M/s. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Android. It is light, weighs just 99.8g.

As we know that SSDs don’t have any moving parts like the mechanical HDD, so the SD700 is silent and doesn’t emit heat.
