Apple has finally launched the iPhone XR SIM-free unlocked version in the US market, which was previously a customized version of the carrier. From the announcement released by Apple, the iPhone XR lock-free version is already available for purchase.
If you don’t want to bind to the US carrier’s package, the lock-free version is the best choice. In terms of selling price, the price of the unlocked iPhone XR is $749 US dollars for 64GB, $799 dollars for 128GB, and $899 US dollars for 256GB.
As for the iPhone XR, the industry chain has said that Apple has told Foxconn and other OEMs to suspend plans to increase the iPhone XR production line. Sim free models are compatible with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and other carriers.
For Foxconn, nearly 60 production lines were initially prepared to produce the iPhone XR, but only about 45 production lines were recently launched.
Foxconn said that there is no need to produce so much at the moment. This means that Foxconn will produce less than 100,000 iPhone XRs per day, which is 20% to 25% lower than the initial optimistic expectations.
