ASUS India got a 40% jump in Consumer Notebook sales in Q1 2020

In the latest press release by Asus, the company has revealed its India’s Notebook segment has shown a quite good performance. Therefore, it now targeting to be in the top 3 Laptop Brands by the end of 2020.

Well, as per the public press release, when the whole nation is under lockdown because of Covid-19; the recent data revealed by IDC apprises that the Taiwanese brand ASUS has successfully gained 15 percent market share of India’s consumer notebook segment in Quater 1 of 2020.

Furthermore, as per the data, this gives an overall jump of 40 percent in sales of Asus portable computing products in Q1 2020 as compared to Q4 2019, when the overall laptop consumer market in India declined by almost 26.5% in Q1 2020 in juxtapose to Q4 2019.

The revealed data has blown new energy in the bran, it now targeting to cross the 20 percent of the market share in India by the end of Q3, with a further eye on 23 to 25 percent by Q4 2020. According to the Asus, they have already laid down the plan to achieve the target; for that in upcoming days, the brand will launch a new portfolio of products and expanding of offline stores from 100 to 200 by the end of this year. Overall, the company wants to be in the top 3 laptop brands in India.

The customers who are buying the Asus laptops have a strong penchant for the ROG and Thin & Light laptop segments.

In addition to this, Asus has also claimed that as the government of India has started giving relaxation in the lockdown and now when most of the things have opened, the company has successfully accomplished the recovery of its national sale up to 90 percent, dropped during the pre-COVID 19 phases.
