Honor 9i with four cameras launched at Rs 17,999

Strengthening its Indian portfolio, Huawei’s e-brand today launched Honor 9i smartphone that comes with four cameras set up — two at front and two at back; a crisp and vibrant FullView FHD+ display, all packed into a compact form factor.

Priced at Rs 17,999, Honor 9i will be Flipkart exclusive and will come in three colour options — Platinum Gold, Midnight Black and Navy Blue, starting from October 14 onwards.

Built on an in-house technology, Honor 9i cameras produce great pictures with 45-degrees projection, the company said. The 13 MP dual-lens front camera incorporates studio-level smart selfie toning flash and also captures bokeh effect photos. There is a 16 MP dual lens camera at the back.

The Honor 9i features 5.9-inch Full View FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio that offers a more comfortable split-screen experience for users to effectively multitask, allowing two apps to be run side-by-side to increase productivity.  On the back of the Honor 9i, the flashlight, fingerprint sensor, USB socket and dual-lens camera all lie on the central axis of the phone. On the front, the dual-lens camera sits on the right, a reflection of the camera flash and distance sensor on the left.

Honor 9i is powered by octa-core Kirin 659 chipset under the hood paired up with 4GB of RAM and offers 64GB internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 7-based EMUI 5.1 and houses 3,340mAh battery.

For audiophiles, Honor9i features the proprietary Huawei Histen audio system to ensure music and movies sound extraordinary. It also supports Bluetooth aptX for better audio quality and better sync between audio and video making gaming and movie watching experiences more immersive.

The company also showcased a 10,000mAh quick charge power bank, priced at Rs 2,399.
