Coolpad Cool 1 Camera review: Is the camera quality of Coolpad Cool 1 good?
Dual camera setup becomes very popular, nowadays and mostly seen in the high-end phones but Coolpad has brought this in the budget. The main USP of Coolpad dual is the dual vertically aligned camera along with dual tone LED flashlight. The benefit of the dual camera setup is it provides better depth and quality in pictures. The Cool 1 Dual rear camera is of 13Mp: One camera captures the monochrome and other is for color. Both 13MP camera comes with a f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) feature.
Recently launched Nubia N1 (review) near about the price of the cool 1 was promoted by the Nubia for its Pro camera feature. But the pro mode, we have found on the Cool 1 is much better. The camera pro mode gives you some capabilities like DSLR’s to control ISO, White balance, Exposure time and Focus.
Coolpad Cool 1 Camera Review: User Interface
The camera user interface is easy and can operate easily even the pro mode. The app is pretty much loaded with all camera options you need in the mobile camera. Also during selfie, the phone automatically mirror your image to give you the exact picture you have seen on the display.
In the above-given image, you can see the pro mode with different SLR like options such ass White balance, ISO, Exposure, Ex time and manual focus. The SLR Mode work brilliantly, the image give below, we were unable to focus the tip of flute using auto photo capture mode but using the pro mode manual focus, we have successfully captures it with enough detailing.
At the bottom of camera app interface, you can swipe left and right to change the camera modes between Photo, Video, Night, Beauty and Pro. The flash control, direct manual focus shortcut, camera toggle, watermark and three dot settings are available on the top of the camera app. The three dots includes some other important and useful modes such as slow motion, Panorama, Long exposure and GIF. Also the setting icon is placed in the same interface.
On the right side of camera app the shortcut filter interface is situtated.
Coming to the image quality, the pictures capture by the cool 1 are good in daylight but grainy in the night. The low light images are also good and but the detailing we are getting in the daylight is much better as compared to low light images. We have also tried the manual exposure feature that really works well too in the low light environment. The camera also has an option to create blur effect digitally like DSLR. The front camera is 8 Mega Pixel and easily manage to provide sharp and bright images. You can also shoot 720P,1080P and 4K videos with its rear camera.
We have seen that many websites have mentioned that the images captured by the Cool 1 is not very much impressive but I don’t think so because the quality I have got from this is far better as compared to other phone coming at this price point. I am not a fan of Coolpad or LeEco but I am saying, whatever I have got from its dual camera. You can look at the images given below to take a decision before buying it.

Coolpad cool 1 camera review synopsis
Coolpad cool 1 dual camera is good and there is nothing much to complain about it. Although the outdoor performance of the camera is good but indoor camera pictures can do a little bit more to convince us but still it is acceptable if we consider the price tag. The DSLR-like bokeh effect it gives by using the pro mode is awesome and will attract buyers. If you are a mobile photography enthusiastic person then the cool 1 is not going to underestimate you in both rear and selfie camera.
