The preview of the Android P has been launched a few months ago, and now after the Google I/O 2018, we have come to know some devices, which will support, Android P. Some of the devices have already been launched, and will likely get the latest Android P update. Another big cherishing new is that devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, 660, and 845 will support Android P. But, if you are using any of the devices mentioned here, whether you will get Android P update or not, is left to the OEMs verdict. But no doubt, they will be supported by your device.

Essential Phone

The essential phone is one of the top smartphones, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 825, along with 4 GB of RAM. It is one of the best smartphones, which come with a unique design and though it is a smartphone released back in May 2017, it also comes with a very small notch making it look unique. The hardware support Android P and this device by Andy Rubin has all the chances to get Android P.

Sony Xperia XZ2

Launched in February 2018, it is one of the best flagship devices from the technology giant and comes with Snapdragon 845 SoC, along with 6 GB of RAM. Xperia XZ2 is a flagship phone, which is not launched more than four months back, and thus, there is no doubt Sony will surely roll out the Android P, for its users.

Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus by the old school leader of mobiles, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, along with 4 GB of RAM will obviously support Android P, and it comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Though comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, X21 being one of the flagship grade devices will obviously get the Android P update. I just wish that the Funtouch OS also get some relevant updates to make the user interface better.

Google Pixel Series

Google’s most loved Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will support the latest Android P as Google has promised to roll out the latest Android updates for the Pixel devices. The Pixel devices are the flagship devices from Google, which is another reason, I am sure the Google Pixel series will definitely be blessed with the latest Android P.

 

How to install Android P Beta on Google Pixel Android devices

The installation of the Android P beta is very straightforward in the all Google Pixel devices;  just follow the below given steps to get the Android P Beta updates.

  1. Open your browsers and login Google with your Gmail account.
  2. Now to enroll yourself in the Google’s beta program use this link: android.com/beta.
  3. Click on the button “View your eligible device“.
  4. If you have Google pixel using the same email ID you with which you log in to the browser will show those devices there. Like in my case it shows the Google Pixel XL.Android P beta programm enrolling
  5. Now click on the OPT in button given below the phone image.
  6. Accept the term and conditions and click on the Join beta button.Android P beta installation on Google Pixel
  7. After enrollment, reboot your smartphone to take effect.
  8. Now, go to the Settings > About Phone > System updates and check for system updates.
  9. You will see a new update about of Android P, download it and install it on your phone.

If you not have the Google Pixel device and want to install the Android P on other devices then you have to go to your respective smartphone manufacturer website and download the update to install.
