The OnePlus has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the OnePlus 5 users and comes as a part of Oxygen 5.0 update. It will provide as an OTA (over-the-air) and start first from Canada and Germany following other countries.
The improvements you will see in the update Oxygen 5 with Android 8.0 Oreo Update are Optimizations for Shelf, Wifi, & Battery Saver; photo quality, New Camera UI design with added beauty effect, New design for Lift up display & Quick Settings.
The OnePlu5 also added Parallel Apps feature which allows using dual app configuration, means two Whatsapp, Facebook and so on. They have also added a tab in the gallery called places for viewing photos on a map, history feature in the calculator to see the previous calculation and a calendar feature in the alarm.
Furthermore, the December Updated Android security patch will also be pushed to the phones along the update. If you are not in the Canada and Germany and can’t wait for an Android 8.0 Oreo Update, then try out some VPN to grab the update or visit the OnePlus forum to update the device manually.
