Popular photo sharing app Snapchat’s latest update on iOS and Android allows users to link a website to snap and add voice filters. To add link users need to tap on the tiny paperclip icon located in the Vertical Toolkit and type in a link. Other new features released in the update include backdrops and on-demand geo-filters.
With Backdrops users can cut a selected area from their snap and insert a colorful pattern on it, using the scissors icon. Similar to Snapchat filters, the selection of backdrops will change daily.
Voice filters let users remix their voices after recording a snap, with a variety of character voice filters available.
The company is also letting users to create their own geo filters now, starting from $5.99, in the “On-Demand Geofilters” section in settings menu.
Last month, Snapchat introduced a new feature called Snap Map that allows users to share location with friends.
To get started, just pinch from the main camera app to zoom out and view the Map. If your friends are sharing their location with you, their Actionmoji will appear on the Map. Action mojis only update when you open Snapchat.
It’s up to you if you decide to share your location with friends or simply keep it to yourself with Ghost Mode.
Snap Map feature will roll out to all users via an update to the mobile app on Android and iOS.
