Adobe CC announced discontinuing support to old systems such as Win8.1/Win10 1607

Creative Cloud Suite is Adobe’s leading product, and a large number of designers around the world rely on PS, AE, PR, Dreamweaver, etc. to present creative works.

At the end of August, Adobe officially announced that it will make a new round of updates to the Creative Cloud Genuine Kit, but this round of updates puts more stringent requirements on the operating system version.

Among them, to get the iteration of audio and video editing related tools, you need to upgrade the operating system to Windows 10 v1703/macOS 10.12 or higher.

Win10 v1703 is the creator update, the operating system version number is Build 15063.

These affected audio and video editing tools include Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Media Encoder, Audition, Character Animator, and Prelude.

Adobe emphasizes that users who use Windows 8.1, Windows 10 v1511/v1607, and Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) will not be able to get updates, and the new version of Creative Cloud management tools will not be able to install and run.

However, Windows 7 is an exception, Creative Cloud will continue to support, most of the features in the new wave of updates can be deployed.

Note that 2D image tools such as Photoshop and Lightroom are not affected. In addition, although the PR/AE installed on the old operating system platform does not receive updates, it does not affect the use of the original function.
