GTA 5 is Going to Provide you Better Performance with PS5, here is Why?

As we all know GTA 5 is pretty heavy on hardware due to the very-good quality graphics featured in the game. Actually PS4 was not good enough to unlock all the graphic potential of the GTA 5. So, it is considered as a next-gen game in many discussions. That is why Rockstar Games decided to launch a special GTA 5 version compatible with PS5 so that the fans can enjoy the game with its full potential graphics quality and performance. The PS5 version of GTA 5 would feature a 4K 60FPS gameplay with crisp graphics and smooth performance. According to developers, they are not going to relaunch the game on a new console instead of working on some new updates and DLCs. So, Grand Theft Auto V would become a worth experiencing game on PS5.

The News of GTA V relaunch on PS5 was speculated since last month, but the news was confirmed by the Sony Studios, during the PS5 looks reveal event on 11th June 2020. The date has not been confirmed but the release would take place in 2021, probably on Q1. Though not many details about the updates or the DLCs have been declared, the fans are already looking for the coming months to get confirmed updates. The event named “Future of Gaming”, and along with the reveal of PS5’s looks, 25 upcoming titles have been confirmed. Here is the link for the whole event.

GTA V One Game Three Generations

Here is an interesting fact, GTA V was launched back in 2013 originally for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and later to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by the end of 2014. The PC version was released in 2013 with the initial launch. Now when the developers declared and Sony confirmed that GTA 5 would be launched for PlayStation 5 also, then it becomes one of those few games which game is available to three different generations of consoles. That also proves the love for the GTA V from the fans. Along with the confirmation of the PlayStation 5 version of GTA V, many Xbox players are also keeping their fingers crossed as the GTA V could end up in Xbox Series X compatibility as well. So, yes the GTA V is about to be celebrated as One game Three generations soon.

How PlayStation 5 is going to enhance GTA V?

PS5 is going to feature pretty powerful hardware specs in comparison to PS4 so a boost in performance is very normal. According to the VP of UX design of PlayStation 5, Matt MacLaurin, Play station 5 is going to be like a mini supercomputer and extremepowerful  in comparison to present gen consoles. As reportedly PS5 is going to be powered with;

CPU: AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5GHz (variable frequency)

GPU: 10.28 TFLOPs, 36 CUs at 2.23GHz (variable frequency)

GPU architecture: Custom RDNA 2.

Memory interface: 16GB GDDR6 / 256-bit.

Memory bandwidth: 448GB/s.

Internal storage: Custom 825GB SSD

So PS5 is going to provide the speed of 8x Zen 2 Cores at 3.5GHz (at variable frequencies) over the PS4’s 8x Jaguar Cores at 1.6GHz. The GPU also going to feature AMD RDNA 2 with 36 compute units capped at 2.23GHz along with computation performance of a peak of 10.28TF. Therefore, by default stuttering, and frame lag related issues would be solved easily.

4K 60FPS is going to provide the extra over the edge crisp in the game. Also to make the GTA V compatible with PS5 itself, the developers need to work hard on the game as well, because it is already 8 years old. With new Visual Upgrades, Render improvements, Shadow, and Lighting quality upgrades, it is like GTA 5 is getting remastered actually. You can go and find the Sony Studio’s official PlayStation Blog where they elaborated the matter even further.

Furthermore, the DLCs are going to feature new characters, new missions, and new unlockable items. The PS4 version GTA 5 owners will get a bonus of 1,000,000 in-game currency for easier customization and weapon upgrades as a promotional gift.

According to the blog, the gifted digital currency will be deposited into the player’s Maze Bank account within 72 hours, and the players can also earn the monetary bonus every month until GTA Online launches on the PS5 officially. Rockstar Games would also be offering a standalone version of GTA Online for PS5 users, which will be free to access for the first three months for all players.
