Microsoft’s new Windows 10 Insider Preview with new icons

Microsoft has launched a new Windows 10 Insider Preview with build 19569.1000 for Fast ring users with new app icons along with other important changes and bug fixes.

Recently, on its official Windows blog, Microsoft has announced the starting distribution of app icons for Windows Insider. If you selected the Fast Ring, the update to build 19569.1000 now gives you the more colourful app icons that we have already presented in more detail. The new symbols for mail and calendar have already been launched, and many more are expected to be added in the coming months, Windows Insider Manager Brandon LeBlanc writes on the Windows Blog.

Important bug fixes

The new icons are basically the only novelties for this build number. However, there is still a list of improvements and bug fixes. This includes that the Windows team was able to solve the problem of high CPU load in connection with missing OneDrive accounts.

Problems with the start menu

In addition, third-party virtual machines should now run more reliably together with the Windows 10 Insider Previews.

Another problem didn’t only affect insiders, but they are the first to get the fix. It is a bug that caused the start menu to be unusable for some users as usual. We have translated the release notes with the changes for you:

General changes, improvements and corrections for PC

  • We fixed an issue that resulted in OneDrive not working and using an unexpectedly high amount of CPU for some insiders from the previous build.
  • We fixed an issue where SCSI drivers were not recognized on certain third-party virtual machines, causing c1900191 errors on these devices. We continue to investigate additional c1900191 errors on other devices.
  • We fixed an issue that affected the reliability of the Start menu after the upgrade for some insiders.
  • We fixed an issue that caused some insiders to get a green screen with an SYSTEMTHREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED error on newer builds.
